1) These are the common settings found by ITS to work on most exchange-enabled PDAs. Settings are separated by typical “page” or “screen” separations. This document is not intended to be a comprehensive or step-by-step setup guide to any specific PDA.
2) It is recommended that you perform a “hard reset” or format of your PDA prior to setting your PDA up to synchronize with the Zimbra server, especially if the PDA has previously been set to synchronize Mail/Contacts/Calendar with another server.
3) It is recommended that you set the “Mail days to sync” settings to something larger than default settings (i.e. typical default is 3 days, you can set it to various options including “No Limit” on most PDAs). This is a personal preference setting and can be configured to accommodate memory/data usage on your PDA.
4) For “full” wireless synchronization on your PDA, please make sure that you have enabled Mail/Contacts/Calendar synchronization on the PDA. It is possible to enable or disable any of these options, should you only desire synchronization of certain data (i.e. Mail and Calendar sync, but no Contacts sync).
